How are you finding the current climate in the UK? Is it affecting business? Lockdowns of course have impacted sales, but we’re positive now with stores reopened that we’ll see a busy summer ahead. Brexit of course brought with it some challenges, but nothing that should impact sales in the long term. How do you view the future of independent retail post-pandemic? We have a positive view about the future of independent retail. As a family-owned enterprise ourselves, we’re committed to the independent market and partner with lots of unique shops and boutiques. We feel that this trend of supporting local business will continue post-pandemic. Are you active on social media? How is this important for the business? Yes, we’re very active on Facebook and Instagram and it’s really important to us as a brand. What can we expect in the future from the company? We’ve introduced our first eco refill product – our Sea Mineral Hand Wash - as part of our goal of reducing plastic use and developing more environmentally conscious products. We have plans to introduce more refill products, as well as glass and/or metal containers. Anything you’d like to add? Inis is an ocean-inspired fragrance and body care brand, and we’ve a strong connection to and respect for the sea. For over 20 years now, we’ve been the core funder of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (www.iwdg.ie) an d we recognise the need to further our efforts to protect our oceans. Just recently we’ve become Plastic Neutral through a partnership with rePurpose Global, and we’ve lots more eco projects in the pipeline which we’re very excited about.
