Since we have an excellent team and logistics in the UK and Ireland, other companies have also trusted us with their brands. As a result, we are the exclusive distributors of Aqua Dragons, StikBot, KLIKBOT, KLIXX and EUGY for the UK and ROI. What are your most popular products? The eco-friendly EUGY craft brand of collectable animals is a massive growth area for us and particularly in the gift sector. Our distribution has increased hugely in 2022 and the consumer appetite to purchase, collect and build the cute figurines plus new styles means we are expecting further exponential growth of the brand in 2023. StikBots continue to be one of our best-sellers thanks to them hitting multiple categories and price points. Parents love them because they are not just a collectable since kids can download a free animation app and use the figures to make their own animated movies; educational and collectable equals top-seller! Have any styles taken you by surprise with their popularity? Not particularly by surprise but our Torch & Projector range never stops growing in terms of volumes and styles. We now have 20 SKUs including Brainstorm Toys, NHM, PAW Patrol and Baby Shark’s Big Show! branded versions. The torches are practical, fun and safe; no wonder consumers rate them so highly on our retailer’s websites. How do you keep your designs fresh and current? Do you follow trends? We have a fantastic product development team who as well as having a wealth of experience in the sector, keep an eye on key trends and by observing the world around them create products that help children learn about science and other subjects in fun and engaging ways. What sets you apart from your competitors? Brainstorm has become synonymous with high-quality STEM gifts that help children enjoy themselves learning by stealth which is important for both them and their parents. We are with our retail customers every step of the way delivering great value products with excellent POS and consumer-marketing. We are also a very easy company to deal with; we keep things simple, friendly and efficient. How are you finding the current climate in the UK? Is it affecting business? There is no denying it has been a tough couple of years with the current economic climate as well as the administrative issues created by BREXIT. However, the children’s gift industry is robust and ever-adapting so we have forged a way to make systems easier for both us and customers making 2022 a record year for sales.
