Usually soft toys are made from petroleum plastics like polyester, but Little Green Radicals have used non-toxic organic cotton and water based GOTS approved dyes so they can be safely chewed, cuddled and cherished by babies and children. Wherever possible, the outside is made from leftover fabric offcuts that would otherwise have gone to waste. To make the soft filling, small pieces of organic and Fairtrade cotton, created as a by-product when fabric is cut, are shredded and upcycled into a lovely fluffy stuffing that makes the toys super squishy for little ones to enjoy. Founder Nick Pecorelli says: “Since our inception we have been organic and Fairtrade but we always want to do more.
