Show news Fashion trade show updates to keep you ahead of the crowd Harrogate Fashion Week has announced the show dates for summer as 4th-6th August – three days of buying and sourcing new labels. This event has continued to grow, and the August event already has three full halls of classic and contemporary brands, with a fourth hall opening that joins seamlessly to the rest of the show, and gives a new second entrance. Now considered a major player in the fashion trade calendar with the largest collection of womenswear brands under one roof, including footwear and increasingly more accessory brands. Organisers Wendy Adams and Sarah Moody commented that Harrogate is extremely popular and loved by the buyers. “We’re already receiving enquiries from boutiques all over the UK and Ireland asking for the Summer dates so they can book their trip as HFW is the only show they tend to visit.” Trade shows are very led by the brands showing, with more than 85 percent having rebooked their stands after the February event, including Pomodoro, Foil, Sahara, Bariloche, Nomads, Olsen, Dolcezza, Lily & Me, D.e.c.k.by Decollage, Vilagallo, Rino & Pelle and the Godske Group. This is the only show in the UK that shows most of the Occasionwear collections including John Charles, Lizabella, Gabriela Sanchez, Coco Doll, Veromia, Irresistible by Veromia, Richard Designs, Luis Civit with many accessory companies showing complementary shoes, hats and bags. These include Failsworth, Snoxell, Lotus, Perfect Occasions, J Bees, and Victoria Charles. Jewellery collections to complete the look include Bibi Bijoux, Envy, Gracee and Miss Graceful. The show, now in its 39th year, will once again celebrate the best emerging talent by bringing together 3,000 design graduates from over 100 university courses under one roof across the following disciplines: Week 1 (26 – 29 June 2024) will showcase Fashion and Costume; Contemporary Design Crafts; Textiles; Ceramics; Glass; Jewellery and Precious Metalwork. Week 2 (3 – 6 July 2024) will showcase Furniture; Product Design; Industrial and Spatial Design; Graphic Design; Illustration and Animation; Motion Art; Digital Art; Game Design, which is new to 2024.
