63 PROFILE Ivymore Living was born out of a love for travel, reverence for diverse cultures and deep appreciation for the art of interiors. Here, Founder Hannah Fleming shares more about the beautiful homewares brand Af or n ara t ppr e ci ati on When did you start up and why? I launched Ivymore Living in its current form in 2022. It started as an Etsy shop but we now run our own website and have expanded into wholesaling too. I set up Ivymore Living to indulge my passions for travel, property, art and interiors. It was always a dream of mine to have a business discovering beautiful pieces from around the world, focusing on high-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship. Setting up Ivymore Living has been a realisation of this long held dream. What prompted you to launch the business? It was during the pandemic that I, like many others at the time, started reassessing various aspects of my life. I was still working as a lawyer in the music industry where I had been (happily) for many years, but having recently returned to work after having a baby I had begun questioning whether this was right for me long term. Finding ourselves in lockdown with a one-year-old whilst my husband and I were both trying to manage demanding fulltime jobs just made it clearer to me that being the master of my own time was going to be the most important thing for me and my family going forwards. I’d always wanted to work for myself and build something from scratch and all things considered it felt like the right time to start taking the first steps. Tell us a bit more about Ivymore Living.
