Europe sales are down for sure but luckily we have a good following worldwide, so we’re fine. How do you view the future of independent retail? It’s very competitive therefore it becomes more and more crucial to do what we love first as this is reflected in the jewellery and everything we do. Are you active on social media? How is this important for the business? Yes, I’m active on social media. Because I have a shop, I need to be present online – it’s very important. Do you have any advice for new businesses starting out? Do what you love but do your research as well. It’s not enough nowadays to do what we love – we need to study the market, the competition and see where we fit. Especially with prices. If I was starting now I would do markets or shows to be in contact directly with the consumers and take the feedback. This is what I did and that helped a lot! Some of my customers have the best ideas so I always listen. What can we expect in the future from the company? I’m grateful that I can continue to do what I love to do and share it with lovely people, we have amazing customers both in wholesale and retail, and of course new friends are always welcome!
